8-month crack warranty
Merrionette Park Concrete Contractor for Stamped Color That Suits Your House
Stamped patios, walks and driveways in tones pulled from your brick, siding and roof, plus foundations and plain flatwork, each one poured on a schedule you can plan around.
On the schedule for every job
Cracks covered for 8 months
Within 8 months, any crack past 1/8 inch wide is sealed with concrete repair sealant. Stamped areas receive an overlay instead.
Color chosen against your home
Tones tested beside your own brick and trim. Not from a catalog page.
Drainage mapped first
Where rain lands, where it goes. Decided before forms are set.
Cure time on the calendar
Protection days are planned, not squeezed. Strength first.
Site cleared at wrap-up
Forms out, rubble gone, edges backfilled, sidewalk swept.
What We Pour in Merrionette Park
Seven services. Each one has its own checklist, and each runs on a timeline we share with you before the first visit ends.
Concrete Flatwork
Utility slabs, landings, side-yard strips, aprons. Plain concrete with a purpose. Laid out, graded and poured in a single short visit once the ground is ready.
Concrete Foundations
Structural concrete for a new room, garage or porch. Sequenced with your builder so inspection, pour and framing dates line up.
Stamped Concrete
Our signature work. Slate, ashlar, cobble or plank patterns, colored to sit naturally beside your brick and roofline. Sealed at the finish so the tone stays rich.
Concrete Walkways & Sidewalks
Front walks and side paths, plain broom or stamped to match the patio. Graded to shed water and jointed so they wear evenly.
Concrete Patios
Backyard patios laid out around furniture and foot traffic. Broom, smooth or stamped with color, and pitched to carry rain out to the lawn.
Concrete Driveways
Old driveway out, new one in. Dug, based, formed and poured at a depth fit for your vehicles, with a clean border option in stamped or colored concrete.
Commercial Concrete
Business-property walks and service slabs. Scheduled around business hours and deliveries, phase by phase.
Four Stages, Each With a Date
First call
Tell us the job, an approximate footprint and what currently sits there. We note the details and book a visit at a time that suits you. Before you hang up, you know when we are coming.
Site visit and color session
We measure, check slopes and access and look at how water moves across the yard. For decorative work, we bring pattern and color samples and hold them up against your house in daylight. A written price follows, listing depth, base, finish, colors and removal.
Prep days
Tear-out, excavation, base compaction and forms. You get the dates in advance, and we confirm the pour day once the forecast is clear.
Pour, cure and clean
Concrete placed, colored and stamped or broomed, joints cut. The slab is protected through its cure window. Sealing for stamped work is scheduled once it is ready. Then forms out, debris hauled, yard tidied.
Why Merrionette Park Homeowners Book Us Again
Four habits we refuse to skip. They are the difference between concrete that looks good for a season and concrete that looks good for years.
Water planned for, not discovered
Every slab gets a pitch away from the house and toward a safe outlet, set when the forms go in. No puddles at the back door. No meltwater running toward the foundation.
A yard you would not know we were in
Broken concrete hauled off. Forms pulled. Soil raked back along the new edges. Street and walk swept before the truck leaves. Cleanup is a scheduled step, not an afterthought.
Curing that is not rushed
Fresh concrete is kept moist and covered for the days it needs to gain strength. That patience is what keeps the surface from flaking under salt and frost, and it is what keeps stamped color looking sharp.
Ground prepared before anything else
We dig to firm soil, remove anything soft and compact crushed stone underneath. A stamped pattern is only as good as the base below it.
Concrete Work in Merrionette Park and Neighboring Towns
Merrionette Park is a small, tidy village tucked along 115th Street near Kedzie Avenue, bordered by Chicago's southwest side and a ring of close-knit suburbs. Most homes here are brick ranches and bungalows on modest lots, which makes color matching especially rewarding: a stamped patio or walk in the right tone looks like it was always part of the house. We pour throughout Merrionette Park and in the surrounding communities: Evergreen Park and Hometown to the north, Oak Lawn to the northwest, Alsip and Crestwood to the west and southwest, Blue Island, Calumet Park and Robbins to the south and east, and Posen and Midlothian a little farther south. Clay soil runs under much of the area, which is why base work gets the time it deserves.
Brick homes, matched tones
Red brick, tan brick, painted trim. We bring samples to your house so the concrete complements what is already there.
Small lots, tight timing
Narrow side yards mean careful staging. We map truck access and material drop points before pour day.

Merrionette Park Concrete Questions, Answered
Eight questions that come up on nearly every planning call.
Rebar or wire mesh: which do you use, and does it make a difference?
It does, and the choice depends on the slab. Wire mesh helps hold small shrinkage cracks tight on patios and walks, while rebar adds real strength where loads are heavy, like driveways for trucks or foundations. Neither replaces a good base and proper thickness, but the right reinforcement in the right place extends a slab's life.
For a new garage or addition, which foundation type fits?
That is set by your plans and the village's requirements. A detached garage often sits on a slab with thickened edges, while an addition usually needs frost-depth footings with walls or a slab on top. We pour exactly what the drawings call for and coordinate the dates with your builder.
Is new concrete covered if it cracks?
Yes, for 8 months. Our warranty applies to any crack that opens wider than 1/8 inch in that period. The fix is concrete repair sealant worked into the crack; for stamped concrete we lay an overlay instead, which keeps the pattern consistent.
Which factors set a driveway's cost?
Area and depth come first. Then tear-out of the existing drive and building the base. Reinforcement, finish choice such as a colored or stamped border, and site access also play in. After measuring, we list each item in writing so you see exactly where the cost comes from.
Can concrete come in colors besides gray?
Yes, and color is our favorite part of the job. Pigment can be mixed through the whole batch, or color can be broadcast on the surface and paired with a contrasting release for depth on stamped work. We bring samples to your home to judge alongside your brick and trim before deciding.
How should I look after stamped concrete?
Routine care is a broom and a garden hose, plus quick cleanup of grease or food spills. The sealer applied at finishing wears gradually from sun and traffic, so plan on renewing it every few years to keep the color vivid. In the first winter, use sand for traction instead of strong deicers.
Do you handle concrete for businesses?
Yes. Storefronts, offices and apartment buildings hire us for walks and service slabs. The work is scheduled in phases around your business hours and deliveries so customers and tenants keep a safe way in.
When can I walk and park on new concrete?
Walking on it is generally okay within 48 hours or so. Parking a car, after roughly seven days. Strength keeps building for weeks afterward, so delivery trucks and heavy pickups should stay off longer. We give you exact dates for your pour based on the weather during curing.
A Merrionette Park Crew That Runs on a Plan
Merrionette Park Concrete Contractor works from a simple premise: concrete should fit the house and the calendar. Colors and patterns are chosen with samples in hand at your home. Dates are set and kept. Base, drainage and curing get their full share of time. And when we leave, the yard looks better than when we arrived.
